BBBS produces a Match Newsletter 4 times per year. Look for this newsletter and activity postcards in the mail for information on upcoming events and the lastest news at BBBS. Case Managers also send out regular announcements via e-mail; watch these e-mails for news about free tickets to local events, opportunities to share your BBBS story on the radio or TV, and other opportunities.
BBBS hosts three annual group activities for matches:
Bowling party and Lunch during Bowl For Kids' Sake in March
Appreciation Picnic where we recognize our "Bigs of the Year"
and "Friends of the Agency" in September/October
Winter Play/Holiday Party at Dell Arte' Theatre in December
We host quarterly "Big Support Meetings." These are an opportunity for volunteers to network with other Bigs and discuss challenges with other volunteers in similar situations. Watch your mailbox for an invite to the next Big Support Meeting.
Northcoast Mentor Program host regular activities for mentoring matches from several programs, including BBBS. Northcoast Mentor Program sends out a monthly newsletter with information on upcoming activities, a community calendar, and a list of available "freebies" that have been donated to the program. NMP sponsors the Mentor Training Series in the fall and spring. Topics vary and feature guest speakers from the community.
