Use your sales skills and puppy dog eyes to collect pledges from your friends and neighbors as a BFKS team member. Last year, BFKS teams raised $114,000, and nearly 100% of the money stayed to benefit the local community. Make a Difference...
with a gift to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast
 * Because 114 youth in Humboldt County benefitted from one to one mentoring this year * Because over 3,400 youth in Humboldt County benefitted from one to one mentoring since 1969 * Because 36 current mentors have continued to mentor past the one year commitment * Because 15 current mentors have continued to mentor for at least 3 years * Because over 50 parents asked about signing their child up for a mentor this year * Because we continue to serve children with incarcerated parents, despite no longer having federal funding to do so * Because we are expanding our programs to better serve Latino and American Indian youth * Because we are strengthening our school-based mentoring program to serve more children in Humboldt County's high-need schools...

$25 covers personal safety training for one child.
$80 covers background checks for two mentors.
$100 pays to enroll one child in our program.
$595 supports a school-based match for 6 months.
$1,190 supports a community-based match for a full year.

Sporting event tickets, movie passes, gently used computers. Donating something from our Wish List allows you to give a non-cash donation.
Tax Status
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast is a nonprofit corporation, which is classified by the IRS as exempt under the IRS Section 501(c)(3); therefore, donations from individuals and corporations, as well as grants from private foundations, qualify for maximum tax benefits allowable by the IRS.
Most gifts of cash to BBBS are fully deductible for donors who itemize their federal income tax returns.
Each donor should seek the advice of his or her own professional tax adviser. BBBS's development department will be happy to assist donors and advisers in structuring their gifts.
