Use sales skills, puppy dog eyes, or blackmail to collect pledges from your friends and neighbors as a BFKS team member. Last year BFKS teams raised $150,000, and nearly 100% of the money stayed to benefit the local community. Make a Difference Campaign |

Make a Difference...
with a gift to North Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters.  * Because 114 youth in Humboldt County benefitted from one to one mentoring this year * Because over 3,400 youth in Humboldt County benefitted from one to one mentoring since 1969 * Because 36 current mentors have continued to mentor past the one year commitment * Because 15 current mentors have continued to mentor for at least 3 years * Because over 50 parents asked about signing their child up for a mentor this year * Because we continue to serve children with incarcerated parents, despite no longer having federal funding to do so * Because we started new school-based mentoring programs at Fortuna Middle School and Alice Birney Elementary this year . . .

Tax Status
North Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nonprofit corporation, which is classified by the IRS as exempt under the IRS Section 501(c)(3). Therefore, donations from individuals and corporations, as well as grants from private foundations, qualify for maximum tax benefits allowable by the IRS.
Most gifts of cash to BBBS are fully deductible for donors who itemize their federal income tax returns.
Each donor should seek the advice of his or her own professional tax advisor. BBBS's development department will be happy to assist donors and advisors in structuring their gifts.
